Initieole Behoeflebepaling GOLMen voor Opleiding Waarnemer in Fennek VWPN (Initial Training Needs Analysis for the RNLA Observer Equipped With Fennek VWRN)

The Royal Netherlands Army is in the process of acquiring a new armored vehicle for reconnaissance and armament: the Fennek VWRN. The Fennek VWRN and its new technical equipment require new task procedures and other ways of operation. As a consequence, the educational and training programs of reconnaissance personnel have to be revised. For this purpose we organized several workshops with educational specialists, technical specialists, instructors, trainers, and reconnaissance personnel, in which we have determined the (new) tasks and associated skills of reconnaissance personnel by means of a systematic stepwise method for determining training needs (Stappenpian behoeftestelling (GOLM)). For each identified skill we have assessed the required type of training tool for skill acquisition.
