The objective of Work Plan One was Test Site Preparation. During the period 5- 10 February 2006, the FNC-CRIDCC Team investigated and evaluated the ex-USS Shadwell shipboard environment to determine the existing infrastructure, components, layout, functionality and performance regarding the AC power distribution system, the Sound Powered Phone (SPP) circuit and the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Ethernet systems. Further, the team determined locations where new components might be installed during future tests to support to the DC Triad Communications System. The Evaluation Area bounds in area of the ship are defined by frame 20 and forward on the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and main decks and forward of frame 50 and 01 level, inclusive.
