摘要

The architecture and measured performance of a packaged binary fiber-optic delay line (BiFODL) is presented. The unit provides 512 possible delays ranging from 1.1 microseconds to 560 microseconds in 1.1-microsecond steps. The performance is given in terms of gain, noise figure, single-sideband phase noise, and dynamic range. A short operating procedure for the packaged unit is also presented.
