摘要

The 301 FW proposes to continue to provide military airspace and training areas that would enable the 301 FW and other airspace users to accomplish required readiness training operations and ensure that mission capabilities are sustained. The need for the Proposed Action is military readiness and to facilitate the implementation of the 2005 Base Closure and Realignment Commission recommendations for the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) actions affecting NAS JRB Fort Worth and other airspace users. To accommodate the required training associated with airspace owned and operated by the 301 FW in Texas and Oklahoma, use of various Military Training Routes (MTRs) Military Operations Areas (MOAs), and the Falcon Bombing Range is assessed in this EA at new utilization levels. The MTRs include Instrument Routes (IRs), Visual Routes (VRs), and Slow Routes (SRs). This EA evaluates the potential environmental consequences of the Proposed Action and alternatives including the No Action Alternative, on the following 11 resource categories: airspace management and aircraft safety, noise, land use, air quality, biological resources, geological resources, water resources cultural resources, socioeconomics and environmental justice, infrastructure, and hazardous materials and wastes.
