Long-term goals of this research are: 1. Improving the knowledge about how ocean dynamics affect the ecology and distribution of marine mammals in different areas; 2. Developing tools to predict marine mammal presence probability or density on the basis of selected environmental predictors; 3. Creating the knowledge-based decisional framework to choose among potential mitigation measures.
