Combat Ration Network for Technology Implementation. CORANET Demonstration Site: Results and Accomplishments

DLA's CORANET II ManTech program supported a Demonstration Site for Combat Ration Manufacturing in which advanced technology could be developed, tested and demonstrated. The Demonstration site was maintained and operated by the Center of Advanced Food Technology of Rutgers University at a 3100 sq ft, USDA/FSIS and FDA, approved food manufacturing and canning facility. Numerous short term projects made use of this facility to demonstrate product and process improvements and the staff of the facility was frequently used for training and technology assessments. The Demonstration Site also maintained an information database to disseminate research and development, science and engineering technology through technical reports and working papers that were made available via the web.
