Technical progress on '3D Computational Optics Systems for Soldier- Centric Imaging' is described in this first technical quarterly report. This report was revised per feedback from DARPA. The first priority for the first quarter was to establish working relationships between our widespread research collaborators, beginning by defining inter-dependent research teams and technical team leaders. Each of the team leads has responsibility for specific tasks enumerated in our proposal for the full SCENICC project, and each lead has defined goals for the coming year addressing these tasks. All activities are highly interconnected, though, and so each of the research collaborators funded through SCENICC has been associated with at least two teams, where one of the teams is primarily oriented towards research and technology development (Teams 1-4) and the other primarily oriented towards a capability demonstration (Teams 5-9). A spreadsheet describing these goals and tasks is part of this first quarterly report, and this team structure will be reflected in all reports, including this one. We established SCENICC's 'basecamp' collaborative website which will be used to facilitate file sharing and long-range collaboration among all participating researchers, including DARPA and other interested DoD researchers. We have established administrative processes for financial and technical reporting, and subcontracts for all 13 of the institutions funded via UCSD have been negotiated.
