A series of experiments was designed to study the sweating responses on the various body surfaces to a gradually rising environmental temperature Sweating records were taken by means of the iodine-starch-paper technique on fourteen to seventeen different body regions which were selected to provide observations on as many different sensory dermatomes as possible.
