Residual Stress and the Yield Strength of Steel Beams. Welded Continuous Frames and the Components.

摘要

Analytical and experimental study of the elastic and plastic behavior of continuous steel beams. Stress concentration, residual stresses and other factors which affect the yield strength of steel members are discussed. Basic assumptions of the simple plastic theory are compared with the test results. The influence of residual stress on buckling strength of columns is also included. (MM).
