PREPARATION OF THERMOSTABLE BRIGHT SILVER COATINGS FOR PHOTOELECTRIC CATHODS

The basic processes arc discussed which are involved in chemical silver-plating of glass surfaces. Some optical phenomena observed in transmitted and reflected light arc described. A silvering method is proposed (a modification of Brcshir's procedure) the technique yields a silver film designed to meet all technological requirements for nontransparent end semitransparent photoelectric cathodes.
