STRAINS IMPOSED ON MULTI-PLY CONVEYOR BELTING WHEN TRAVELLING AROUND A DRUM

摘要

This report describes experiments to investigate the stresses and strains developed in multi-ply conveyor belts when moving around drums at speeds similar to those encountered underground and should be of interest to those engaged in the development and use of belt conveyors.nThe work constitutes an extension of that reported in M.R.E. Report No. 2039, in which the stresses and strains were investigated in stationary belts flexed over drums.
