The program of research on host factors influencing, the receptivity of human volunteers to aerosols has continued. Some attention is being devoted to passage of botulinal toxin and "bacteria across the alimentary harrier in experimental animals. This is an important consideration in exposure to aerosols, since a portion of the material introduced as an aerosol is swallowed.
