ROUTINE ANALYTICAL LABORATORY REQUIREMENTS

An analytical plan for the control of plant waste streams has not been worked out because the necessary flow¬sheets do not exist. Time requirements for waste stream analyses are estimated not to exceed 10％ of the total analytical working time given in column 5.nA total of 30 people will therefore suffice for the routine analytical work during the initial period. This number includes personnel for sample dilution, chemicals makeup, rinsing and decontamination of glassware, transportation of chemi¬cals and samples to and from the laboratories, and simple maintenance and standardi¬zation of instruments. Approximately 20-25 of the 30 people required will need no education in chemistry.
