摘要

A combination of MRI/MRSI is used to define the distribution of Dominant Intraprostatic Lesions (DIL) within the prostate. This information is used to perform dose escalation of the DIL without compromising the dose coverage of the prostate and the protection to the urethra, rectum, and bladder for prostate cancer patients treated with High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy. The multi-image fusion process has been presented at national meetings during this period. The steps and criteria involved in the series of image fusions and in the planning and verification of the dose delivery process are presented. Information from one image data set to another in the series of MRS ---> MRI --- > CT.
