A method for the separation of chemical elements in 8 groups suitable for gamma spectrometric analysis has been developed. One group of elements is separated by distillation during dissolution of the sample. The other groups are obtained by means of short ion exchange columns coupled in series.nAn anion exchange column saturated with chloride ions separates chloride complexes, peroxides and other anions from a 3-n HC1 + 0, 3 % HzO2 sample solution.
