Overlapping Tessellated Communications Networks

This paper presents a philosophy of interconnecting communication networks which have the appearance of overlapping tessellations. The bandwidth requirements for two types of networks was derived--the linear spanning and the inclusive spanning. The efficacy of one network as compared to the other is measured by the additional switching requirements for various spanning doctrines. (Author)
