The behaviour of magnetite particles in a rotating magnetic field has been investigated by measurement of the velocity of the magnetite clusters, and by photography of their tumbling movement at different field frequencies up to 500 c.p. s.nThe results of these investigations proved to be in agreement with the theoretical statements earlier presented by LAURlLAnThe main factors effective in a dry separation process have been investigated by separation tests with different magnetite ores, and by the employment of two different forms of separator.
