SOME FLOW PROBLEMS IN THE PROCESS, POWER AND WATER SUPPLY INDUSTRIES

The purpose of this review is to introduce some of the aspects of the B.H.R.A. research programme which are of general interest in the fields of chemical engineering, water supply and power generation, and to show that there are cases where experience gained in one field can usefully be applied in another.nIt is hoped that the survey will serve the dual function of reminding the reader of the accumulated experience which is available to assist him at B.H.R.A., and of initiating discussion of aspects which could be investigated in the future.
