In connection with the study of thrust vector control by secondary injection, a simple parametric analysis of the problem has been under¬taken on the basis of existing theories to determine the influence of various design parameters. A performance parameter that is convenient in such an analysis is the amplification factor, defined as the ratio of specific side force to the specific impulse of the nozzle. The re¬sults of numerical computations of that factor under various conditions of injection have been compared with available experimental data.nIt should be emphasized that this note is in the nature of a preliminary report.
