EXAMINATION OF ROTATING BANDS FROM 155MM PROJECTILE, HE, M107, FIRED WITH PROPELLANT CHARGE XM119

摘要

This study was conducted to determine the adequacy of the ro¬tating band; particularly band retention, of the standard 155mm M107 shell when fired with propelling charge XM119 from the 155mm Howitzer Self-Propelled M109 (T196E1). Rotating bands from sixteen recovered M107 shell were examined.
