Although differences in quality were found to exist between transcripts produced by single as compared to multiple transcribers, the differences are probably of slight practical significance. Differences were statistically significant only at the medium noise level. At the medium noise level, multiple transcriber techniques added 670 to the number of right responses, reduced wrong responses by 11%, and increased accuracy by 4%. However, in critical situations, these slight differences might be important.
