An extended survey of the already performed work in this direction showed that very few experimental material was available, but that the theoretical considerations, indicating as very probable a better sensitivity of the spectrochemical analysis, at trace level, utilizing the principle of the hollow cathode light course could be considered as experimentally confirmed.
