摘要

This study is a continuation of work reported in technical report, contract WA AF 61(052)-270, on properties of pinment-protirin complexes in purple bacteria. The organism under investigation is chromatium, strain, D, Owing to the fact that our culture obviously contained an admixture, we have looked into methods for reisolating chromatium form our culture. Isolation was successful by applying high concentrations of diphenylamine (DE) in the culture addiu, in which chromatium appeared to develop much better than the admixture.
