The purpose of this report is to inform members of Lincoln Laboratory of the progress which has been made in studying bat echolocation systems at F. A. Webster’s Laboratory in Cambridge during the period 1 November 196l to 1 September 1962. Roughly speaking, the investigations underway at this Laboratory can be divided into three groups: (a) those motivated by the interests of D. R. Griffin and his associates at Harvard; (b) those motivated try the interests of Lincoln Laboratory; (c) those motivated by the interests of Webster himself.
