FINAL REPORT ON MACHINING OF REFRACTORY MATERIALS

摘要

Machining characteristics are presented for unalloyed tungsten, molybdenum, columbium and tantalum alloys, Rene 41, B-120 VCA titanium, D6AC steel 52-58R sub c, Refrasil, Pyroceran, zirconium oxide and aluminum oxide coatings. These represent some of the most difficult to machine materials presently being fabricated into aerospace components. Test data is also included on 1) high speed edge milling of high temperature sheet materials and 2) Tornetic system of drilling and tapping. (Author)
