During this quarter a 5.1% thin film cell has been produced on a l".x 1" substrate. This result compares favorably with the maximum efficiency of 5.4% reported for a single crystal CdS cell. A procedure for up-grading low efficiency cells to the average efficiency level has also been developed.nA non-destructive x-ray technique has been used successfully to photograph dislocations in single crystal CdS.
