The purpose of this investigation is to determine the difference between the actual flow over a body of revolution and that predicted by potential theory. Since this difference is primarily manifested in terms of vorticity in the flow field about the body, it is desired to determine, (1) how the vorticity is generated along the body, (2) how it is distributed and (3) what are its most important components.
