In science and engineering, the physical phenomena may often be characterized by a mathematical model of exponential form.nThis report presents a method of exponential curve fitting to experimental data. It considers the cases where the function tends asymptotically to either a constant slope or maximum value as the abscissa becomes large.nThree models and their general form have been developed for the application of this method. Derivations, solutions (by an iterated least-squares method), and applications of the models are presented, and computer program listings, flow charts, and sample problems are included.
