LABORATORY STUDIES FOR FINAL DESIGN ON DAM FOUNDATION AND EMBANKMENT SOILS-NORMAN DAM--NORMAN PRO JE C T-- OKLAHOMA

摘要

The laboratory testing of the undisturbed piston samples included visual classification of the soils. These classifications were also used in preparation of drill logs. The density, moisture content and Atterberg limits of the undisturbed samples were determined. A study of these test data, supplemented by the computed values of relative consistency, resulted in the selection of two samples for one-dimensional consolidation and triaxial shear tests.
