STRIKING EFFECTS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF SUN SHADES AND REFLECTOR SURFACES HAVE BEEN NOTED. THE SYSTEM IS USEFUL FOR QUANTITATIVE MEASUREMENT OF ENERGY OUTPUT OF VARIOUS ULTRAVIOLET SOURCES, THE INVESTIGATION OF SUNSCREENS AND FOR TOPOGRAPHIC STUDIES OF NATURAL DISTRIBUTION OF ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION.
