A total of 406 subjects have been tested for perceptual mode and used in a series of experiments over the past three years. One hundred and five subjects were body-oriented: 212 fell into a middle range and 75 have been field-oriented. In the experi¬ments now being conducted many subjects are being studied in a number of experi¬mental sessions so that the scope of the individual samples will be considerably broadened. Further, some subjects have been asked to participate in a number of different types of experimental designs. This allows for studying changes in the central and autonomic nervous system as well as psychologic parameters over time, as well as, obtaining samples from a number of subjects under different experimental conditions.nThe investigations described in this report and previous reports have been undertaken to delineate more carefully differences in body-oriented and field-oriented subjects. Differences in autonomic and behavioral conditioning character¬istics together with differences in discrimnation learning have been studied. Investi¬gations have been carried out with more precise techniques to delineate complex perceptual and neurologic characteristics. The response patterns of body and field oriented subjects to changes in external sensory conditions, pharmacologic agents and various types of cognitive structing have been pursued.
