The material was received on September 17, 1963. The report of the radiographic examination of the two CFZ graphite blocks by the 2705 th Airmunitions Wing was received and a visual inspection of the blocks was performed by Southern Research Institute. Layout drawings for specimens from the graphite blocks were completed and identification procedures were established. Preliminary work on specimen configurations, flag attachments, equipment assembly, and other areas has been in progress. Preliminary arrangements to perform the radiographic examination of specimens were completed.nSouthern Research Institute is prepared to begin the preparation of specimens immediately upon verification from Aeronautical Systems Division of the specimen configurations and other approaches to be used in the program.
