BECAUSE of the possibility of applications in air or spacecraft, further information concerning this affect would be desirable.nThe results of tests conducted upon 6061-T6 hollow aluminous helical springs, both extension and compression, indicate that only minor variations of the spring constant, free length, or mean coil diameter result from internal pressurization.
