MINIMUM POWER ANALOGUE COMMUNICATION

In this discussion of the theory of minimum power communications, the following are considered: system con-figuration, sources of noise, frequency modulation theory, frequency-following reception, phase-lock and FM feedback, thres holding, the effects of system nonlinearities, and the use of pre-emphasis. An example of the application of the theory well be given by reference to a specific communication satellite design.
