This report covers work performed during a one year periodnof the contract, The aim of the study is to develop new and superior packaging systems and materials capable of producing a dehumidified ornmoisture controlled atmosphere similar to that presently producednby Method II of Specification MIL-P-ll6D, at a lower cost andngreater efficiency, Three fundamental approaches have been examined in detail. The method showing greatest promise of meeting all the design targets consists of a two part barrier system, one opaque and the other transparent.
