A system for the electrical detonation in series of a group of charges attached to a taut moored cable in deep water is de¬scribed. A preliminary study of chain detonation as well as the problem of cable damage in the vicinity of shots is included. The accuracy of charge locations for long-range fluctuation studies is discussed, and cable catenaries are examined.
