These Investiga¬tions have made it possible to determine the most efficient heating surface, viz., a surface with conical stampings, which has greater heat removal with identical power expended on overcoming resistance that do surfaces made from sheets with spherically stampings.nIn addition to better aerodynamic and heat properties, surfaces with conical stampings also have a more rigid thin wall on account of the Increased area of contact when the upper bases of the stampings are placed together.
