摘要

The determination of the stoichiometry and stability of compounds formed by the reaction of ferric iron with nucleoside phosphates is presented. Ferric iron reacts with ATP to form a variety of highly stable chelate compounds. The multinucleate compound Fe(III)2ATP is formed by this reaction and it is stable at physiological hydrogen ion concentrations. The compounds Fe(III)ATP2 and Fe(III)ATP are formed and are stable in acid solution as well as at pH 7. The ferric chelates of pyrimidine triphosphates have been shown to exist and their stability in acid solution has been revealed. The great stability of ferric nucleotides suggest a possible involvement of these compounds in reactions of physiological importance. (Author)
