A detailed outline is presented of the climatological and observational data collected during the fifteen month field program. The manner in which the data was collected is described, an assessment is made of the amount, quality, present and final form of the data. A description is given of the way in which the results of the field program will be analysed, together with a summary of proposed studies based upon these data. As an appendix, preliminary results of one such study on the diurnal distribution of precipitation and cloudiness is presented.
