OSCILLATION PROPERTIES OF EIGENVECTORS OF STRICTLY TOTALLY POSITIVE MATRICES

It is the purpose of this paper to extend and refine certain results of gnatcatcher and krein on the oscillation properties of the eigenvectors of a strictly totally positive matrix abbreviated stp. Our results are related to determinantal inequalities developed by G. Szego and this author [2]where the elements of the matrices are orthogonal polynomials.
