ELECTROSTATIC FORCES AND CLOUD-DROPLET INTERACTION

Its purpose is to investigate electrostatic effects on cloud-droplet trajectories, coalescence, and charging. The investigation so far has been concerned with the important case of droplet interactions in warm clouds where droplet radii (2) are less than 25 microns. Under these conditions Hocking's solution to the hydrodynamic forces(3) is valid. It has been used for the hydrodynamic part of the present study.
