摘要

Several reinforced plastic laminates that show promise of having good strength properties at elevated temperatures are being evaluated to determine their strength and elastic properties. Flexural, tensile, compressive, interlaminar shear, and bearing tests parallel to the warp direction are made to determine the effects of high temperature and duration of exposure on the strength properties. Tension tests at 45° to the warp direction are made to obtain data from which edgewise shear strength and modulus of rigidity can be calculated. Creep and stress-rupture data are obtained under both tension and compression loads. In addition to strength properties, data are obtained on weight loss of the laminated material during exposure.
