Research Investigation to Determine Mechanical Properties of Nickel and Cobalt-Base Alloys for Inclusion in Military Handbook-5, Volume I

Design information is given on four nickel and cobalt base alloys for inclusion in Military Handbook-5. The alloys investigated were Rene' 41, L-605, Inconel 702, and Incoloy 901. The mechanical properties investigated were tensile, compression, shear, bearing, creep, stress-rupture, and fatigue. The general results obtained are presented in Section VII of this report and the data generated for Military Handbook-5 are presented in Section VIII. (Author)
