CLASSIFICATION OF DMIC REPORTS AND MEMORANDA BY MAJOR SUBJECT

To aid in quick identification and easy location of specific technical data and information in the various reports and memoranda which have been prepared and distributed by the Defense Metals Information Center, as well as by DMIC forerunner, the Titanium Metallurgical Laboratory, a classification by major subject matter was prepared.nThis "index" should be of value to those individuals holding a large number of DMIC reports and memoranda, copies are being distributed to the entire DMIC mailing list. The index can be used to determine which reports and memoranda deal, to a significant extent, with a selected subject. It can also be used to determine the availability of these reports and memoranda. However, DMIC supplies of documents (especially the older ones) are quite limited. For this reason, requests for copies should be made on the basis of need for the information, not for the sake of merely filling gaps in existing collections.
