COMPARATIVE STUDY OF RUNGE-KUTTA AND LABCZOS NUMERICAL INTEGRATION METHODS

This document presents a comparative study of the Runge-Kutta and Lanczos numerical integration methods for solving the system of ordinary differential equations associated with the Variation of Param-eters formulation. Results of ephemeris computations using each method are compared with a standard to determine relative position error growth. Conclusions are drawn regarding relative merits of the two methods.
