This is a preliminary report on a study of an -algebraic generalization of the concept of regular events. Among all the possible ways of generalization we chose the one suggested by the characterization of regular events by means of horaomorphisms with finite ranges (cf. [RS] and [YG] 1963). Following this suggestion, our attention is directed to the study of homeomorphisms of monoids and their effect on subsets of monoids.
