The presence of phenol hydroxyls is of interest for the synthesis of polymers with siloxane structures which at the same time have phenol functions. Products with completely esterified phenol hydroxyls can be used to obtain polymers with alternating siloxanes and simple esterbonds. The latter in such products have a relatively high hydrolytic stability and therefore are retained in the hydrolysis of less stable alkoxy groups with the silicon atom.nThe reaction of bis (chlormethyl) tetramethyl disiloxane and chlormethyldimethyl butoxysilane with resorcinol, hydroquinone or dioxydiphenyl propane (dian) was carried out in a medium of absolute butanol under nitrogen.
