This work treats within the framework of the V. Z. Vlasov technical theory of shells (1), transverse vibrations of a thin-walled cylindrical shell having circular cross section, completely or partially filled with an ideal incompressible fluid. Analogous problems have been examined previously (2, 3). However, calculations derived for a completely filled shell have shown that the frequency formulas derived in (2) give results which are considerably under valued compared with experimental results.nResults obtained from the formulas, in (3) are in good agreement with experi¬mental results for long shells completely filled with a fluid.
