TRANSITION OF RADIAL AND AXIAL MODES IN VIBRATING CYLINDERS,

摘要

Two equations to determine resonant frequencies,one for thick disks and one for thick rods,were previously derived in TR-1108, 'Resonant Frequencies of Cylinders of Any Dimensions' (AD-401 688). This report defines the dimension ratios of cylinders to which each equation is applicable. In addition,the two equations are modified by expressing an empirical constant in terms of material properties. The validity of these new equations is demonstrated by applying them to the published data of Shaw, Bechmann,and McMahon. (Author)
