This report describes the results of a program aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of operating an advanced 2200-Mc traveling-wave maser amplifier with a closed-cycle refrigerator. The program proved the feasibility of such a system and tests indicate that the system is applicable to UHF telemetry stations. (Author)
